Returns, Exchanges & Warranty
At The Perfect Hoop, every order is carefully inspected before it leaves our studio. We take great pride in the quality of our jewellery and are committed to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining fair policies for both our customers and our small business.
Our goal is to ensure every customer shops with confidence. The following policy is designed to provide clear expectations while allowing us to continue offering elevated jewellery at fair prices, without compromising on the quality we’re known for.

Returns & Exchanges
We gladly accept eligible returns for store credit only and exchanges within 14 days of delivery (extended during select holiday periods).
To be eligible, your item must be:
• Unworn and unused
• Returned in its original condition
• Include all original packaging and inserts
• Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Please allow 7–10 business days from the date your return is received for processing.
As we offer store credit and exchanges for eligible returns, refunds are not available except where required under applicable consumer protection laws.
Before You Purchase
We strive to represent every product as accurately as possible through detailed product descriptions, precise measurements, close-up photography and model imagery.
As measurements and product details are provided on every product page, we encourage customers to review this information carefully before purchasing.
The following are considered matters of personal preference and are not considered manufacturing defects or quality issues:
• The item is smaller or larger than expected
• Preference for a different thickness, weight or overall appearance
• The style does not suit personal preference
• Fit based on individual ear anatomy or piercing placement
• Change of mind after purchase
Every ear is unique, and individual anatomy varies. Lobe thickness, piercing placement and ear anatomy will affect how a style fits and appears when worn. If your return otherwise meets the eligibility requirements outlined above, it may be returned for store credit or exchange within the applicable return window.
Luxe Collection
All Luxe Collection purchases are Final Sale.
Due to the premium craftsmanship, limited production and hygienic nature of this collection, Luxe Collection pieces are not eligible for return, exchange or store credit.
If your Luxe piece arrives with a verified manufacturing defect, we will gladly replace it with the same item, subject to availability. If the item is no longer available, store credit will be issued.
Sale & Promotional Items
All sale, promotional, markdown, clearance and discontinued items are Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Manufacturing Defects
We proudly stand behind the quality of our jewellery.
If you believe your item has arrived with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery by emailing hello@theperfecthoop.ca with your order number and clear photographs of the issue.
Once reviewed and approved by our team, we will:
• Ship a replacement of the same item, subject to availability.
• If the item is no longer available, issue store credit equal to the purchase price of the item.
As a small business, we do not provide prepaid return shipping labels or require defective items to be returned unless specifically requested by our team.
What Is Not Considered a Manufacturing Defect
The following are considered normal characteristics of jewellery or everyday wear and are not covered under our warranty:
• Natural cosmetic wear that develops over time
• Gradual finish wear resulting from regular use
• Variations in finish longevity due to individual skin chemistry (pH levels)
• Exposure to perfumes, lotions, cosmetics, sunscreens, chlorine, salt water or other harsh chemicals
• Bent earring posts, which are intentionally designed to be adjustable and can be gently straightened
• Damage resulting from accidental impact, improper storage, misuse or improper care
• Personal preference regarding size, fit, style or appearance
Jewellery Finish & Care
Our jewellery is crafted using premium materials, including 18K gold PVD plating or triple-layer 18K gold plating, depending on the collection. Every piece is designed to be tarnish-resistant, water-resistant, and suitable for everyday wear.
With proper care, many of our pieces maintain their finish for years. In fact, we continue to wear and test pieces from our earliest collections that remain in excellent condition today.
Like all plated jewellery, our pieces are not solid gold. Over time, natural finish wear may occur depending on frequency of wear, environmental exposure and individual body chemistry. This gradual wear is considered normal wear and tear and is not a manufacturing defect.

Warranty
Manufacturing defects must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
Warranty claims relating to finish wear or product performance must be reported within six (6) months of the original purchase date.
Claims submitted beyond six (6) months will be considered normal wear and tear and are not eligible for replacement or store credit.
Gifts
If your order was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, approved returns will be issued as store credit.
If the order was not marked as a gift, or was shipped to the purchaser before being gifted, any applicable credit will be issued to the original purchaser unless otherwise arranged.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
For returns valued over $75 CAD, we recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service. The Perfect Hoop is not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged during transit.
Policy Discretion
The Perfect Hoop reserves the right to refuse any return, exchange or warranty claim that does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy.
From time to time, we may make exceptions at our sole discretion as a gesture of goodwill. Such exceptions do not constitute a change to this policy and do not establish precedent for future claims.
